Dietetic Advisor for SMA Special Feeds accountable for new product development, budgets
and business plans. As SMA Nutritional Advisor (SRD) I am accountable for the
provision of nutritional advice, research and literature to SMA Nutrition
Division and its’ customers on the current and future product developments. Provide information within the infant
nutrition field with respect to regulatory aspects to the exciting range and
future product developments. Supply
nutritional support and training to the Marketing Department, Sales Force, Consumer
Affairs, PR Activities and the Medical Department’s UK clinical trails. Meet with opinion leaders to enable SMA to
capitalise on commercial opportunities.
Special Feeds Product Manager (7 month Secondment) responsible for the SMA Special
Feeds brands (Net sales £8m). Continued
to grow the brand and develop new products so that revenue, profit and brand
objectives were met. Constructed
marketing plans and formulated integrated brand strategies to bring the
product/programme/initiatives to market, ensuring that they appealed to the
target audience while maintaining a competitive edge. Liased with both external suppliers (advertising, PR and
promotional agencies, HCPs, NHS policy makers and consumers) and internal
departments (manufacturing plants, finance, IT customer services and Legal) to
ensure that planned objectives were achieved.
Healthcare Development
Executive for the sales force based
in the field working as a key lead team member for the East of England. Responsible for providing sound nutritional

NHS. Responsible for delivering presentations, organising study events and
involved in managing territory events. Played an active part in the launched of

objectives where met by combining experience in NHS and Infant Nutrition

Cystic Fibrosis and General
Paediatrics in a large ethnic population specialising in Neonatalogy,
Peadiatric Intensive Care Unit, Enteral and Parenteral Nutrition (Nutrition
Team), Surgical Wards, Gastroenterology, Asthma/Allergy, Diabetes and Children
with Developmental Delay. Inpatient, Outpatient and weekend on-call care. Acted up for Chief Paediatric Dietitian and
manage department as required. Actively involved in the specification,
development and implementation of change when the Peadiatric Dietetic
department moved from Queen Elizabeth’s Hospital for Children to the Royal
London Hospital NHS Trust, White Chapel.
Involved in writing protocols, diet sheets,
audit and research. Lecture to medical students, physiotherapists, nurses,
dieticians, Doctors and catering staff. An active member of the Health and
Safety Committee, and the Infant Feeding Policy Group. Actively involved in the
